About this service
The Anaesthesia department at Royal Cornwall Hospital provides anaesthetic services for approximately 30,000 operations, both elective and emergency, every year.
Our team of consultants, associate specialists, nurses and trainees, work alongside various other hospital departments to give anaesthetics and ensure our patients’ safety and wellbeing throughout.
You can find out more about the types of anaesthetics we use, and what happens when you have one, on the NHS Choices website.
