About this service
Our dedicated outpatient department carries out minor oral surgery and provides treatment facilities and orthodontic services. The majority of operations we carry out are undertaken as day cases at the Royal Cornwall Hospital.
The Royal Cornwall Hospital Oral Maxillofacial and Orthodontic service consists of inpatient and outpatient facilities. The inpatient ward known as Kynance Ward admits patients with a variety of surgical, trauma and cancer related conditions. The outpatient/day-case unit consists of a general anaesthetic operating theatre suite and capacity for 8 outpatient/treatment clinics.

Where to find us
We are located on the ground floor of Trelawny wing at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro.
Directions from the Trelawny main entrance
Enter through the Trelawny entrance of the hospital, take the second staircase or lift to the ground floor and turn left, then immediately left again. Oral surgery and orthodontics are signposted above. Walk straight ahead. Oral surgery is directly in front of you.
