Who we are and what we do

The Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust was established in 1992. It comprises three hospitals:

The Trust provides acute hospital services for the majority of Cornwall’s resident population of approximately 500,000. This figure can be doubled by holidaymakers during the busiest times of the year.

NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Integrated Care Board (ICB) is the principal commissioner of services from the Trust.

Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust is led by a board of executive and non-executive directors. Public Board Meetings are held approximately every six weeks.

Our Standing Orders, Standing Financial Instructions and Scheme of Delegation set out the way our Trust is governed.
