Operation Cornwall – all wrapped up
Our Women and Children’s Hospital design and programme teams were out and about in schools in March, inspiring the next generation of hospital designers and engineers across Cornwall.
Operation Cornwall was launched as part of our new Women and Children’s Hospital’s social value programme, giving local young people a chance to explore what goes into designing a modern hospital.
More than 400 pupils aged 9 and 10 took part in hands‑on workshops, exploring project management, teamwork and different aspects of design using model‑making, drawing and even Lego.
Along the way, we documented their experiences, together with those of the team who delivered the programme and created a short film which you watch here.
Such was the success of the Operation Cornwall events, we’ll be back again next year – bigger and better.
