Newlyn14 Theatre Official Opening

On Thursday 28 November we celebrated the opening of Newlyn 14 Theatre following its refit and replacement of interventional radiology. The new Siemens Artis Pheno brings the latest technology to RCHT and enables the best possible imaging solutions for patients, clinicians and the interventional radiology team.

Work included refurbishment of the theatre including new flooring, new radiation protection screens, painting, creation of a new storeroom and adaptations to the IT hub room.

Delivered on-time and on budget, the outstanding new theatre will improve patient and staff experience considerably. Our thanks to the contractor Siemens and to Bethan Andrew from the Major Capital Projects team, who led on this project, and to Gemima, Team Lead for Interventional Radiography. Also, a big thanks to the rest of the project team Estate Ops, Procurement, Finance and Clinical Leads.
